What Does Full Spectrum CBD Mean?
If you’ve been thinking about buying CBD oil, you’ll have noticed that you have a choice of types of CBD hemp oil. The terms ‘broad spectrum’ and ‘full spectrum’ CBD refer to the presence of the other compounds that are found in the hemp plant.
A natural hemp plant is made up of hundreds of compounds, over a hundred of which are known as cannabinoids. These include:
- CBD – or cannabidiol
- THC – or tetrahydrocannabinol,
and it is the cannabinoids that can be used therapeutically to boost your health and well-being.
When CBD products are created, these compounds are extracted and then made into products like CBD oil, vape e-liquid, and capsules.
If you get full spectrum CBD, you will get a product that includes all the other cannabinoids in the hemp plant – including CBD and legal amounts of THC. This means that you can take advantage of the full entourage effect – so that you can ensure that it is as effective as possible.
Whether you are using our CBD oil for migraine or CBD oil for seizures, you are using a natural product, provided by Mother Earth and that also includes our sustainable packaging.
Is Full Spectrum CBD Legal?
The cannabis plant has been used for its therapeutic properties around the world for thousands of years, but it is only relatively recently that scientists have really been able to understand why. And this has led to changes in the laws across the globe, allowing people (and animals) to take advantage of the benefits of CBD – including full spectrum CBD hemp oil.
Since the hemp plant is part of the cannabis family, it can be confusing as to its legal status. Hemp, by definition, has a THC level of less than 3%, and since it is the THC cannabinoid that makes you high, levels lower than 3% are safe to take – and won’t make you high.
The Farm Bill that passed in 2018 has removed hemp from being classified as a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, now labeling it as a normal agricultural product in the USA.
This means that hemp is now legal across the whole of the country, to buy, sell, use, and produce, and therefore, so is CBD full spectrum hemp oil – or CBD oil.
What is the Best Full Spectrum CBD Product?
Full spectrum CBD products are available in several different forms. The best product for you depends on what you are hoping to use it for – as well as how you prefer to take it.
- Full spectrum CBD tinctures are usually used either in drops under the tongue or added to food. Sublingual drops are held under the tongue allowing the CBD to be absorbed through the lining of the mouth and coming into effect within a few minutes.
- Adding your CBD to your food will take longer to come into effect – usually up to about two hours but will also stay in your system for up to about eight hours.
- Full spectrum CBD vape e-liquid is added to your vaporizer then smoked. Inhaling the vapor is the fastest way to get the effects of the CBD as it passes into the bloodstream through the lungs. It is also the fastest to leave your bloodstream, and is an effective way to ‘top-up’ throughout the day.
